The Internship for summer 2016 will promote social-emotional development and movement through outdoor play during the core day and facilitate hands-on, project-based experiences after school. The ideal candidate is dynamic, collaborative, and invested in ongoing growth. Experience engaging students in an outdoor environment is key.



  • Facilitate communications with educators and parents on policy, logistics, and other sivicamp information
  • At least two years of leadership experience and people management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and excellent, empathetic communication in person and in writing
  • Demonstrated success with responsibilities that require detail-oriented execution and exceptional organization
  • Good judgment on policy development and sensitive matters
  • Direct experience with education and schools, ideally as a teacher and/or administrator
  • Manage site-based after-school staff and quality of programs
  • Manage site-based vendor relationships for co-curriculars, facilities, and expert network in partnership with centralized support
  • Oversee site and classroom budgets
  • Accountable for operational policy adherence at sites, including product adoption, standard operational procedures, and compliance
  • Participate in school policy development across the network
  • Manage all safety and security protocols for these sites, including regular procedures and crisis management
  • Manage site schedules and external visitor requests
  • Support logistics for school community events and field trips
